I’ve been talking a lot about my upcoming debut novel, Sorceress of Truth, so I thought it would be a great idea to introduce some of the characters.
If you follow me on Instagram then you will have seen posts relating to characters and their backgrounds. Hopefully this character series will bring all of that information together in one place.
The images that I include will be my take on the characters and are just a bit of fun. Once you read the book I’m sure they will look completely different in your minds eye.
With that said, I think it’s time to plough into our first profile, and who better to kick us off than our main character?

Tory Lee Harper

Tory is practical and that shows in her clothing choices; comfortable and not drawing attention to herself. She’s also very trusting of others, but she expects total honesty in return.
One of her downfalls is her stubbornness. There are some people who will give up at the first hurdle, others may have a few goes before giving in. Tory will keep going back for more even if the outcome is the same and to her own detriment.

Star Sign – A Sagittarius. This makes her adventurous, adaptable, straightforward and always wanting to learn.
Prized Posession – Tory isn’t very materialistic and has moved home several times. Possibly the only item she has kept is a silver necklace with a cross pendant that was originally her Grandmother’s. They never got to meet in person.
Favourite Food – Tory loves Italian food: pizza, pasta… She doesn’t really mind, just bring on the carbs! She’s also partial to the Yorkshire delicacy of chips, cheese and gravy.
If she was a Chocolate Bar – I would have to go with a Double Decker. From the outside it looks like a Mars or Snickers in disguise, even though we know it is from a different factory.
Inside, like the chocolate, she is conflicted. There is the soft and squidgy girl doing battle with the hard and tough part of her that she’s only just discovering.
If she was a Disney Princess – The Disney Princess closest to Tory would be Moana. Both characters are travelling the path they feel they ought to, but there is something else calling out to them. For Moana it is the ocean, for Tory… well, you’ll just have to wait and see!
I’ll have to wait?!?!? Aaaaaa
