The title should give you an idea of how things are going. I feel like I’m racing at a million miles an hour and doing little bits of everything and not quite finishing.
As we speak I am rushing around trying to write this blog post, do several Instagram posts, finish my wip, organise the living room, and wash my daughters bedding while also trying to decorate her room.
She’s been away on a residential with school this week, Monday to Friday, her first one ever! I thought it would be a great opportunity to spruce up her room and make it a bit more grown up. At nine, she’s now going through that “I-hate-pink-and-anything-girly” stage. Unfortunately, I hadn’t factored in catching yet another cold from said daughter, wiping me out for at least a day and putting me miles behind.
Well, it’s safe to say that the walls are not painted and they won’t be for some time. I have completely transformed the rest of the room though and, with a final push tomorrow, I should have it ready to surprise her when she comes home.
From this… …to this!
In terms of writing, I can confirm that things are moving along in the background. In fact, in January I released my very first newsletter. All future announcements about releases, titles and covers will go to subscribers of The Archer Express first, so get yourself signed up to be in the know!
I have been trying to get myself into some kind of routine since Christmas, and it does appear to be helping. I’ve been waking up over an hour before everyone else so I can come around gently with a coffee and a spot of reading. I’m already one book down and onto my second of the year, which is quite good going for me.
As for what February will bring, well, you’ll just have to watch this space. I can assure you that, despite how crazy it is at the moment, it is also very exciting.
Take care, Jodie xxx
P.S. Don’t forget to keep up with my antics over on Instagram, and keep an eye out for my next Author Q&A.
