Firstly, I apologise for being MIA. And secondly, what the hell happened to the rest of May and June? Seriously, if you find them, please return them!
We were quite busy the back end of May due to family visits and yet another school holiday. It was great to see everyone but, wow, it always feels good to get back into some kind of routine.
Editing and writing took a back seat, but that didn’t mean I wasn’t filing away ideas and inspiration for the future, especially on days out. One such place we visited was Harewood House.

It is a stunning house near Leeds with the current building dating back to the 1700’s.
A private area of the grounds is used for filming the popular UK soap, Emmerdale, and for those of you with a keen eye, you may recognise some of the interior and the terrace from ITV’s Victoria. It’s also been used as a location for the upcoming Downton Abbey film, which is due out in September.
I can honestly say I left that place dreaming about big fancy dresses, jewels, royalty and nobles, and great balls with tables full of food.
For now though, it’s back down to reality with a bump as I continue on with editing The Sorceress of Truth. As it stands I am 72% of the way through major re-writes before I do one final read through, then I will be on the hunt for some BETA readers.
Right, I’d better get back to it!
See you soon, Jodie xxx
Editing can be painful or exhilarating. It doesn’t seem to be anything in between.

Definitely painful, but at the same time it feels good. ♥
